DIY Fundraising – Supplementary Terms

These Supplementary Terms apply to individuals and groups creating DIY fundraising pages in support of Teen Challenge Canada using the Funraisin’ fundraising platform (the "Platform"). These terms are intended to complement, and not replace, Funraisin’s Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict, Funraisin’s Terms shall govern the operation of the Platform.
1. Our Mission
Teen Challenge Canada Inc. is a registered Canadian charity. Our mission is to demonstrate God's love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
All DIY fundraising activities must align with our mission, values, and statement of faith.
We reserve the right to remove or disable any fundraising page that conflicts with our mission or values.
2. Eligibility & Use
By creating a DIY fundraising page, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age;
- Will provide accurate and truthful information;
- Will comply with all applicable Canadian laws and regulations;
- Will follow Funraisin’s Terms and all instructions provided by Teen Challenge Canada Inc.
3. Fundraising Pages & Content
Fundraisers may create personalized pages to raise funds in support of Teen Challenge Canada Inc. All content must be:
- Accurate and not misleading;
- Respectful and consistent with Christian values;
- Free from offensive, political, or inappropriate material;
- Owned by you or used with permission.
We reserve the right to edit, suspend, or remove fundraising pages at our discretion.
4. Donations & Receipting
All donations made through the Platform are gifts to Teen Challenge Canada Inc. a registered Canadian charity. While donors may express a preference, all donations remain under the charity’s control and discretion in accordance with CRA guidance.

Official donation receipts will be issued in compliance with the Income Tax Act (Canada). Donations are generally non-refundable unless required by law or issued at our discretion.
5. Fundraiser Responsibilities
Fundraisers agree to:
- Fundraise honestly and in good faith;
- Clearly communicate that donations support Teen Challenge Canada Inc.
- Not offer raffles, lotteries, prizes, or incentives unless explicitly approved and legally permitted;
- Not act or represent themselves as agents of the charity;
- Promptly report any suspected misuse or fraud.
6. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Platform to:
- Fundraise for unapproved purposes;
- Misrepresent the charity or use deceptive practices;
- Conduct political fundraising;
- Engage in unlawful or harmful activity.
7. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with Funraisin’s Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teen Challenge Canada Inc. is not liable for losses arising from use of the Platform or reliance on fundraising content.
9. Governing Law
These Supplementary Terms are governed by the laws of the province in which such activities take place and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
